• Humble. You work 7 days a week since you're not >40% smarter than everyone. You are available at night. It's ok sending messages at 3am. We do what it takes to win.
• Diversity. We hire the best people of all races, genders, & backgrounds. Autism is celebrated here.
• A-players only. A-players want to work with A-players. We'd rather hire 1 A-player & pay above-market than hire 3 B-players & pay market.
• Urgency. Do in an hour what usually takes weeks. Run through walls to get things done. Respond in minutes (or seconds) instead of hours.
• Shameless. Be extremely annoying if it means winning. Check in on things 10x daily. Double (or quadruple) text if someone hasn't responded. Call them too.
• Fast-firing. If someone isn't a good fit, we part ways quickly (with respect). Please be okay with this. We do paid trials to help derisk this.
• Trillies, not billies. Most people relax at Decacorn ($10B). We aim for Kermit ($100T).
• Mission-focused (apolitical). We avoid distractions or debates that stop us from doing the best job possible for our customers.
• No side projects. We're a professional basketball team. We will get out-balled if we're distracted.
• Many hats. No job is not your job.
• EV-based decisions. Take risk where it makes sense to take risk.
• Customer-first (not team-first). It's our job to make things move fast. We dropped the ball if a customer feels like we did.
• Flat org. Titles reflect scope, not ego. Ideas win based on merit (not hierarchy / years of experience). No political promotion games.
